Georgekutty Returns: Drishyam 3 OTT Release Officially Announced.
The return of Malayalam cinema’s most iconic crime-thriller protagonist, Georgekutty, is finally heading to OTT.
Released in theatres on May 21, coinciding with Mohanlal’s birthday, Drishyam 3 quickly emerged as a blockbuster. The film crossed the ₹200-crore mark worldwide and became one of the biggest successes in Malayalam cinema. Its OTT release comes just a few weeks after its theatrical debut, allowing audiences across the globe to experience the next chapter of Georgekutty’s gripping story.
The film will be available not only in Malayalam but also in dubbed versions of Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada, making it accessible to a wider audience across India and in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.
The Drishyam franchise began in 2013 with the release of the original film, which went on to become one of the greatest thriller movies ever produced in Malayalam cinema. After an eight-year gap, Drishyam 2 arrived in 2021 as a direct OTT release during the pandemic and received widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences. The third installment continues the journey of Georgekutty and his family, once again drawing viewers into a world of suspense, emotion, and moral dilemmas.
Written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, Drishyam 3 features an ensemble cast including Mohanlal, Meena, Siddique, Murali Gopy, Esther Anil, Ansiba Hassan, and Asha Sharath. The film is presented by PEN Studios and Panorama Studios and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
